NordVPN is a mid-tier VPN. It’s not as cheap as Surfshark, but it’s tad cheaper than ExpressVPN. Like most other premium VPNs, it comes with three plan lengths, 1-month, 1-year, and 2-year. Let me tell you, I was not totally disappointed upon visiting the pricing page of NordVPN. In fact, I got a good feeling when I landed on the NordVPN 2-year plan pricing page by default.
The Complete Plan, which comes with the most extensive set of features, is priced at $4.89 per month. It comes with all the advanced features such as Threat Protection Pro, which provides the all-essential malware defense and ad clocking. The cherry on the top is, you get 3 extra months and you will be billed for the first 27 months if you choose this plan.
Each of the other two plans, Plus and Basic, comes with three months extra too. However, with Basic plan, you just get the VPN. If you opt for Plus plan, you will get everything that comes with the Complete plan, except cloud storage.
All of the three plans have a 30-day moneyback guarantee. Also, you get 3 months extra with the 1-year plans.
While these plans seemed all too exciting for a new buyer, I was looking for that extra frost on the cake to make my Christmas a tad more special. And I was quite sure from my past experience that NordVPN has some really exciting offer up its sleeves.

Can’t get any sweeter. But can you really avail it?

To find out how long the offer remains valid, I shifted my focus from the glitter and looked for some substance. Is it for everyone? Does the offer come with any hidden terms and conditions? Do I need to buy a specific long-term plan to avail this? I checked out the pricing page and found that the offer is exclusively available on the 2-year plans.
Does Any Other VPN Come with 4 Months Extra?
Surfshark is the only premium VPN I found which offers 4 months extra on some of their plans, and that too all year round. During the holiday season SurfShark offers 6 months free extra with the maximum I have noticed 7 months free (the offer was available during Black Friday 2024 and Christmas 2024).
However, NordVPN’s no-logs policy is more watertight than that of Surfshark, as it has been independently audited multiple times.
NordVPN also has more than double the number of servers Surfshark offers. It has practically servers everywhere. Both are quality VPNs, but what I especially liked about NordVPN is its extras. The most noteworthy is its password manager, NordPass, which is by far the best password manager of 2024.
All things combined; I think NordVPN’s holiday deal is quite a steal! Keep in mind that it expires in January. If you miss it, however, you can still get the all-season deals.
